History
Founded by silversmith Mike Kennedy Vintage Lamp Restorations was located in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham for many years.
Much of the original Lucas lamp factory patterns and tooling were acquired by him in the 1980's. A plating firm, Cotton Bros, was incorporated subsequently and trading continued at 91, Vittoria St. Hockley, Birmingham until 2005.
Following the untimely death of Mike the company was run by his friend Dr. Tom Rollason; himself a fellow enthusiast having gained awards for his cars at Pebble Beach, Cartier Style et Lux, Concours d'elegance.
In 2005 it was decided to expand to Tom's larger site in Solihull, within his classic automotive brake company, Coasting Ltd, whilst still retaining certain specialist services within the Jewellery Quarter.
This has enabled us to maintain the highest quality standards whilst expanding our facilities and range of products.
Our Premises are now only a few minutes away from Birmingham International Airport and railway station, the National Exhibition Center, the M42/M40 road links, allowing our customers to collect or deliver easily their lamps.
